I have a good example of how important the Bible is in a Christian's life. Just as football players have playbooks to know what to do on the field against their opponent, well the Bible is there for christians to know what to do in life against our opponent, the Devil. So I guess it is our playbook, :)If we as christians are not in GOD's Word daily then how do we know what we should do and not do.
What play? Can you imagine a pro football player not reading and studying his playbook for a game and how lost he would be. Just the one player can ruin it for the whole team. And the Christian life is the same way.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
-Renewing of your mind means know and using the Word of GOD. And then you will know what GOD would have of you.
Psalms 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
-Meditate on the Word of GOD day and night and we will be strong in the LORD and daily living against the Devil. Then be able to tell others.....
The Bible is GOD's Holy Word, a love letter left to us. Praise His name and thank GOD for his word he gave us, without it how lost we would be....What love he shows......
