Living by the Holy Spirit's power.
Galatians 5:16-18
16This I say then, walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17For the flesh lusteth against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to one other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18But if ye be led of the spirit, ye are not under the law.
There are fruits of the spirit that we should have as Christians, then there are works of the flesh that will lead us away from our relationship from Christ.
Fruit of the spirit:
LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, MEEKNESS(HUMBLE), SELF-CONTROL.
These are of the LORD. Being led by the Holy Spirit involves the desire to hear, the readiness to obey GOD's Word, and the sensitivity to discern between feelings and GOD promptings.
The fruit of the Spirit is of the LORD and the work of the Holy Spirit in us.<--Christians!!
The Spirit produces these character traits, which are found in the nature of GOD.
If we want to have the fruits of the spirit we must have/do:
1-We must know him(be washed in the blood, SAVED)
2-Love him(as he loves us, and love others)
3-Remember him(seek him in everything we do)
4-Imitate him(do as GOD would do, wwjd)
Tomorrow I am studying and blogging more of this, so please come back:)
Oh, and I want to say this, if you are not a christian then the Holy Spirit is not in you to obtain the fruit of the spirit, but it is so easy to become a christian. A-admit your a sinner B-believe JESUS died and shed his blood for you. And rose on the 3rd day conquering sin. C-confess him as LORD. I hope and pray if you are not saved today will be the day - just pray to the LORD and ask him into your heart - He don't care about the words you say, He cares and listens to your heart.

We can praise THE LORD in the joys of life and we stand on the promises of THE LORD during the battles. I pray that this blog will be edtifing to Our LORD and an encouragement to you each time you read it. So we both can walk each day stonger for the LORD then the one before.

Not me, but you LORD.
Psalms 115:1
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but into thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
We should glorify the name of the LORD JESUS, not worry about our own name. When we do something - make sure you are doing it to glorify the LORD and not yourself.
Too often we ask GOD to glorify his name with ours. For example, we may pray for help to do a good job so that our work will be noticed. There is nothing wrong with looking good or impressing others; the problem, comes when we want to look good no matter what happens to GOD's reputation in the process. When you pray, ask yourself, "who will get the credit, if GOD answers this prayer."
Do everything for the LORD and he will bless it!!
GOD is alive. He is thinking about us and caring for us, and we should put him 1st in our lives.
Psalms 29:2
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Perfect and Holy what's the difference?
Hebrews 10:14
14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
We have been made perfect in Christ, yet we are being made holy. Through his death and resurrection, Christ once for all made his believers perfect in GOD's sight. At the same time he making them holy in their daily walk here on Earth. We all need to grow in the LORD. GOD is not finished with us yet. We can grow by getting in GOD's Word, seeking GOD in every goal and decision in our lives and accepting guidance from Him.
See, we are made perfect through Christ's blood but we have to let him work on us to become holy.
Accepting GOD as our saviour and being washed in blood is automatic(that spilt second), but holiness is something that takes time and guidance from GOD.

New Birth
Well @ around 7:45am Our little niece will be here. So it got me thinking about children and parent relationships, and what the Bible has to say:
Ephesians 6:1-4
1Children obey your parents in the LORD: for this is right.
2Honour thy father and mother; which is the 1st commandment with promise;
3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4And, ye fathers(and mothers) provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the LORD.
We should raise children in a GOD fearing home. With a Christ-honouring attitude. Now, it's just not only the parents but any adult in the child's life(grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc..).
I will post picture later, now I about to head to the hospital to wait for her to be born!

Sowing and Reaping
Matthew 7:1-2
Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. For just as you judge and criticize and condemn others, you will be judged and criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you.
Oh wow Ome, man GOD dealt with me on this. All I can say I am sorry LORD where I failed.
Well, plainly these scriptures tell us we will reap what we sow(look at Galatians 6:7 as well).
Sowing and reaping not only applies to the financial realms, but also the mental realm. We can sow and reap an attitude as well as money.
Many times we are reaping in our lives what we have previously sown into the life of another.
I heard someone say that when they hear someone talk about them badly and judge them, they ask themselves, "Are they sowing, or am I reaping?"
WOW......again I so got convicted on this one, praise GOD he is still dealing with me and molding me to be what he wants me to be.

I have a Limp, but it want stop me.... And posted some other news!!
Genesis 32:28
And He said, your name shall be called no more Jacob but Israel; for you have contended and have power with GOD and with men and have prevailed.
Ok, do you know the story in Genesis 32:24-32 where Jacob wrestled with the angel of the LORD who touched the hollow of his thigh, and as result, he had a limp from that day forward.
Jacob might of walked away with a limp, BUT he limped away with his blessing.
Jacob was a man with weaknesses, but he pressed on with GOD; he was determined to get GOD's blessings. GOD wants us to have that kind of determination. Because of Jacob seeking and determined, GOD could be glorified in him.
GOD can get glory for Himself through those who will NOT let their personal weaknesses get in the way of GOD's work in and through them.
1st we have to face the fact we all have weaknesses, then 2nd we must determine not to let them bother us and limp on. Our imperfections are not going to stop GOD!! (unless we let them)!)
Something else to add, GOD will bless us even though all of us have a limp(imperfections, weaknesses). Remind yourself, GOD sees our hearts. If we have faith in Him and a heart that wants to do right, we have all we need to receive GOD's blessings.
LORD,
I have a lot of weaknesses, but I want to serve you and do your will, so you get all the glory. I don't want blessings. I just want a close relationship with you father. And I will limp away praising your Holy Name.
Amen.
On another note:
It's Friday and my wonderful husband starts his vacation today YAY! 11days off woot woot! The reason well for one he needs it and the other is his brother and sister inlaw are expecting their 1st baby any day now!! We are so excited - I don't know if you read my "about me" section but Jason and I can't have children so this little girl (yes it is a girl!) is Heaven sent to us. We can spoil her and love her and she can love us back b/c we are uncle Jason and aunt Kelly..lol Plus like Jason said "that's *insert last name* blood running through that kids veins." And he is hoping that him and his brother will become closer - I mean they are close but Jason would like them to be closer. and I would not mind getting closer to my sister inlaw - it would be cool to have a relationship with her like she was another sister to me. But what I am trying to get at we are all super excited and anxious, I know they really are. They(I am not going to put their names they might not like that) are going to wonderful parents and raise this precious girl in a GOD fearing home. But we all can use prayer so I am praying for and I request y'all please pray for them too, I know and heard it is hard raising a kid in the world today. Also please pray for mom and baby that they will have a safe and healthy labor and delivery, and that GOD will wrap his loving arms around both of them and keep them safe and healthy. This little girl weighting in at almost 9lbs (woo momma) so please pray for them. We ALL are so excited to meet the gift from GOD!!
Enjoy your weekend!

Peace in all Decisions
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace from Christ rule in your hearts to which as also ye are called in one body.
Peace is given from Christ, but we have to choose to follow Him daily. Colossians 3:15 teaches us that peace is what helps us make decisions in our everyday life, settling every issue. To gain and keep peace in our hearts, we may have to learn to say no to stuff. For instance, if you don't have peace about doing something, and then turn around and do it anyways because you wanted too, you break peace - trust me you want get peace after the fact.
The presence of peace helps us decide and settle all decisions.
If you let GOD's word have its home in your heart and mind, it will give you insight and wisdom --- PEACE(look at verse 16 as well).
Trust me you want have to wonder.....should I or Shouldn't I? I don't know if it is right? I don't know what to do.
If you are a child of GOD he has given you peace and he has called you to follow it.
Ephesians 2:14

No matter what!
It is so hard to really grasp the love of GOD and how much he really loves us. When we do wrong(sin) he still loves us......No matter what!
Romans 5:8
But GOD shows and clearly proves His (own) love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (look at John 3:16 as well).
I know GOD loves me, but sometimes it is hard to accept because I do fall short and I am so undeserving of it. But then he tell me..."I love you, No matter what!"
WOW he don't hold our sins over us, once you ask forgiveness he don't even remember them......what love, No matter what!!!
I am going to end with this.
1 John 4:16, which states that we should be conscious of GOD's love.
The love of GOD is meant to be a powerful force in our lives, one that will take us through even the most difficult trails into victory.
He loves me and you...No matter what!!

One year ago today Douglas County, Ga. experienced a flood that no one seen coming. So many lost their lives, and many their homes. I think about that day when I got a e-mail from so many friends saying Kelli Smith was one of the people who was taken, I was totally heartbroken. Then a phone call telling me that Ty Weathers wife was another, my heart broke even more and I begin to pray for these families, I could not even or want to imagine what they are going through. Just when I thought it could not get worse I received another e-mail telling me Kevin Hodges was another person taken by the flood. I know there was a lot more, but these I knew and I know their families. I would like everyone to join together and pray for these families that lost love ones a year ago today.
We sometimes want to ask GOD why, I know I did that day. And I was reminded of the verse:
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end(kjv).
Another version of Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
GOD knows the future, and his plans for us are good and full of hope. As long as the GOD who knows the future is there with us and goes with us as we live, we can have a boundless hope. This does not mean we will be spared pain, suffering, or hardships, BUT that GOD will see us through to a glorious conclusion. Though we are in a difficult place and time(sometimes), we should not despair for we have GOD's presence, the privilege of prayer, and GOD's grace. It is wonderful to know we can go to our LORD in times of trouble, heartache, sorrow, even anger knowing he loves us and wraps his loving arms around us and wants the best for us and our future.
1 year ago today Lord you said Let it rain. We saw your mighty power we questioned why, but Lord you still sit on high and look low. And for that I praise you.

When I say.....
"When I say ... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting, "I'm saved" I'm whispering, "I get lost!" "That is why I chose this way." When I say ... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble, and need someone to be my guide. When I say ... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong, I'm professing that I'm weak, and pray for strength to carry on. When I say ... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success, I'm admitting that I've failed, and cannot ever pay the debt. When I say ... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are way too visible but God believes I'm worth it. When I say ... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches which is why I seek His Name. When I say ... "I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge. I have no authority, I only know I'm loved!"
I just love this, it pretty much sums up a christian and how depending we are on our SAVIOUR!!

Today's Worship Service @ church
Psalms 32 Pastor Grant Prudy
Why live with the burden of sin and be miserable when you can have GOD's forgiveness and have peace and true happiness(JOY).
Forgiveness brings true happiness. Only when we ask GOD to forgive our sins will he give us real happiness and relief from guilt.
In the words of our Pastor "Are we that silly of people where we want to live life miserable so we can keep that sin, then confess to our Lord and live a life of peace and joy with him".
When GOD forgives us, he clears the record of our wrongs and takes away our sins. To experience GOD's forgiveness, however, we must confess our sins. And make a commitment to change our behavior.
GOD has shown us that he is willing to forgive because his judgement on sin was satisfied by Christ's death on the cross. As you read Psalms 32, note the pattern followed in responding to GOD:
1-they recognized their sin.
2-they realized that sin was rebellion against GOD himself.
3-they admitted their sins to GOD - they confessed.
4-they trusted in GOD's willingness to forgive.
5-they accepted his forgiveness.
6-they lived with true happiness, joy, peace that only GOD can give when he forgives you and lifts the burden of sins away.
I was totally convicted this morning and ask the LORD to forgive me and I must say I have more joy and peace in my life. Thank you LORD!!
When people think of sin they think of sin such as, in Psalms 32 David was dealing with his sin of adultery and murder. But sin can be unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, gossip, etc....
GOD longs to guide us with love and wisdom rather than punishment. He offers to guide us along the best pathway for our lives. Accept the advice written in GOD's Word and don't let stubbornness get in the way of you confessing and getting the forgiveness from our LORD and have true happiness, joy, peace.
And have real fellowship with GOD.

Diligence vs. Laziness
Diligence means conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task; giving the degree of care required in a given situation .
Laziness means is a disinclination to activity or exertion despite having the ability to do so. Indolence: inactivity resulting from a dislike of work.
Weather we are in the work place or in the church we are to have diligence, working hard and with all we have. Showing others JESUS in us in everything we do.
Ephesians 6:5-8
5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh(work place in the world), with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto CHRIST;
6Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of CHRIST, doing the work of GOD from the heart;
7With good will doing service, as to the LORD and not to the men:
8Knowing that whatever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the LORD, weather he be bond or free. (also look at Colossians 3:23 as well)
Paul's instruction encourage responsibility and integrity on the job. Christians employees should do their jobs as if JESUS CHRIST was their supervisor.
I think of the verse in 2Thessalonians 3:10 and it states you don't work, you don't eat. And then I start to think of the world around me and all the people out of jobs - that worked all their life and now barely making it. Then, I look at the ones who refuse to work their entire life and/now/always live off our tax dollars(gov.asst.) and it is so troubling. I am going to stop here on this subject because if I get started I may never stop :)
OK were back on..
Proverbs 12:11
He who works his land(job) will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies(being lazy) lacks judgement. (look at Proverbs 28:19 as well)
Proverbs makes it clear that diligence - being willing to work hard and do one's best at any job given to them - is vital part of wise living. We work hard not to become rich, famous, or admired but to serve GOD with our very best during our lives.

OK you decide Diligence vs. Laziness, which wins which loses...
After studying this and going deep into GOD's word Diligence totally wins, because I want to make GOD proud of me. And plus if everything I do I want people to see JESUS in me and JESUS WAS NOT LAZY!!! then I don't need to be :)
Oh plus I want to eat...lol
*I am going to have to say a little something about my wonderful husband and how hard he works. He is an excellent provider(all because of the LORD). I thank GOD for the job he gave him(we are blessed to have one now days), he has been there 18yrs and is never out. GOD has blessed us, I know why because Jason is working diligent for his employer. We are not rich with money but we are rich with the blessings of our LORD. Thank you LORD for Jason and all you blessed us with*

5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh(work place in the world), with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto CHRIST;
6Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of CHRIST, doing the work of GOD from the heart;
7With good will doing service, as to the LORD and not to the men:

Church...you mean country club?...no, church!....ummm.....
I believe churches today have become so water down, tolerate to sin that the world can't tell us apart. We become another country club. Which is sad because GOD said we are to be different than the world...
1Peter 2:9 But ye are chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar(different) people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
Roman 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of GOD.
As christian and as a church we must refuse to conform to the world's values and loves. So saying all of that I am about to chase a rabbit and by the middle of it you may or may not hope that the rabbit finds a hole soon, so I will shut up......
Ok so the christians are to be different than the world and christian make up the church(of course GOD as head) then the church should not be of the world, SO why then ...are preachers, assoc. preachers, youth ministers, music ministers in our churches today been married multiple times. In Titus 1:6 Tells us they should be of one wife. OK, what about the Sunday school teacher living with her boyfriend, or the Gay piano player, or the people working with children department that say it is ok to social drink. And you know I am not going to say anything without the word backing up my big mouth:).
Leviticus 18:22 thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with you do womenkind: it is abomination.(also look at 1Tim.1:10, or Romans 1:26-27).
1 Corinthians 7 contains some of the clearest teaching in the Bible concerning abstinence before marriage.
Proverbs 21:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
NOW, I am not saying all churches are this way, because the church my husband and I attend is not, but I hear so much and been to churches where they turn a blind eye, and now they have a country club. AND it is NOT ok - according to GOD's word. Not because Kelly said it because GOD knows I am not perfect I am just forgiving like anybody else.
I am just passionate about living for the LORD and churches/christian being different to the world --- so the world can look at us and say man I want what they have ---JESUS! But how can they when we are like them....Amen or Ome.
I am not trying to be mean or hurt anyone feelings, we ALL(including me) need to wake up - because there is a lost and dying world needing JESUS. And we need to be the ones telling others about him, but it will be real hard when we are like a lost and dying world without JESUS. ummmmm........
Now please don't get me wrong I love going to church and I repeat not all churches are like this - but - if they are and they are wondering why they are not growing well.......
**A little recipe for you to think about BUT don't make it**
First you to water down the BIBLE, add a dash of the world, stir until know one is offended, sparkle tolerate on top, let it sit 2hours on Sunday and 1hour on Wednesday until it becomes luke-warm. Now you have a 2 day a week country club. (and a recipe for disaster).....
One thing I will say and say often LOVE the SINNER BUT HATE the SIN!!
Last word is GOD's word...
1John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

A-B-C
A- Admit your a sinner Romans 3:23 states we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD. Romans 5:8 states But GOD commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
B-Believe in Jesus and the blood he shed for you Romans 3:22 states the righteouness from GOD comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Romans 3:25 states GOD presented Jesus as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in his blood.
C-Confess Jesus is your Lord and trust him with your life Romans 1:16 states I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of GOD for the salvation of everyone who believes. John 3:3 states except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of GOD.
Just pray this simple prayer: Lord I am a sinner, I believe you sent your son Jesus to die for me on the cross, that I may have life with you, please come into my heart and save me. Lord I praise your name and I call you my Lord, and I trust you now with my life and I know now you call me your child. Thank you amen
.
If you prayed that simple prayer and meant it with all your heart then your now a child of GOD - Praise his holy name, you now will spend eternity with Jesus. John 5:24 states whoever hears my word and believes me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. also John 3:16 states for GOD so loved the world he gave his only son that whoever believed in him shall not perish(in hell) but have eternal life. Man that is wonderful GOD is so good.
Please let me know if you prayed that prayer, so I can pray for you in your walk with Jesus.

Be humble like Christ
Philippians 2:1-5
1If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3Let nothing be done through strife of vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
Many people-even Christians-live only to make good impression on others or to please thenselves. When people are concerned only for themselves, seeds of discord are sown. Paul therefore stresses spiritual unity, asking the Philippians to love one another and to work together with one heart and purpose. When we work together the problems of other as if they were our own, we demonstrate Christ's example of putting others first, and we crate unity.
In verse 1 "bowels and mercies" means tenderness and compassion.
Christians must feel and show kindness and affectionate sympathy to others...basically REAL LOVE.
In verse 3 "lowliness of mind" means being humble.
Being humble means having a true perspective on ourselves(read Romans 12:3). It does not mean that we should put ourselves down. Before GOD, we are sinners, saved only by GOD's grace; but we are saved and therefore have great worth in GOD's kingdom. **We are to lay aside selfishness, treating others with respect and common courtesy. Considering others' interests as more important than our own links us with Christ, who was/is a true example of humility.**
Some of you may or may not be wondering why I chose these verses. Will I myself need to be more humble, and GOD has been dealing with me on this. So I been praying that GOD will help me and strengthen me and make me more attentive to my ways and the way I treat others. So basically I will be blogging on this a lot. Because boy I need GOD's help. :)
Another verse to reference is 1Peter 3:8-9
8Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
9Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Peter developed the qualities of tenderness and humility the hard way. In his early days with Christ , these attitudes did not come naturally to his impulsive, strong personality. But the Holy Spirit changed Peter, molding his strong personality to GOD's use, and teaching him tenderness and humility.
And I know GOD is still working on me to. Molding me to what I ought to be......Humble.
*I know it was long, but it will not always be this long.....promise*Thanks for reading*
