The Author

Good Monday to all!!

I know many times I have blogged about the Bible. But yesterday my pastor said something that I really liked and pretty much puts it clear. I will get to that in a minute.

How important is the Bible to you?

We all say it is important, but do we picked it up Monday thru Saturday? Or do you even carry it to church on Sunday? Do we defend it like we should? Do we share with others?

Do you love the author?

Ok, on to what my pastor said that will sum all the above up:
There was a lady who had every novel ever written, she read all of them and some twice or more. She had them from left to right down rows on her huge book shelves. Her favorite would start left and go down to the bottom to her least favorite. Well one day she met a man and they began dating, they were madly in love. Few months passed and she invited him over for dinner. When he walked in he was totally amazed over all the novels she had. She told him how she read every novel ever written. He said I actually wrote a novel couple years ago. Well she knew she had to have it so she said hold on I know I have it. She began to look on her shelf starting at the top because she just knew it had to be one of her favorites because she loved this man. As she continued to look she made it to the bottom and there the novel sat. Well after he left she began to read the novel again and when she finished it she put it on the top with her favorites because she looked at it different, she loved the author.

If we love the author, we will love his words?

2 Peter 1:20-21
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Psalms 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

MIL Birthday!

Today my mil turned 60, I don't think see would mind me putting that on here, because she don't look it anyways. We are going to celebrate tonight for dinner then cake at their house. The reason I am putting this on here is because I want to thank GOD for all his blesses on me and my family. He is so good to us.
Family is so important it is my back bone in my life. GOD said family is......

1 Timothy 5:8If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

 Proverbs 11:29
He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.

Talk Type to you later....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Love...Who?

Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love they neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 22:37-39
37JESUS said unto him, thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Romans 13:8
Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

I could type more and more verses of GOD's word about loving others. *ding, ding, ding* You think it may be important...lol GOD would not of put it in His word so much if not. So we need to take heed to it.

Who should we love?
First above all our LORD, then others(others meaning ALL).

Why is love for others(all) so important?
We are in debt to CHRIST for the love He has poured out on us. The only way we can even begin to repay this is by loving others(all). Plus, the LORD told us to!! :) and when you are saved He changes your heart where you want to love others(all).

What if there is someone who is hard to "love"?
Trust me there will be at some point in your life, at least in my life there is. But I love them in the name of JESUS, but fleshly it is just hard to! So what we can do is make a list of that persons' good parts and just focus on them.
And plus, don't ever be mean(or mean back) to that person. Life is short and GOD wants us to L-O-V-E!!!

All the time I hear parents telling their children "the golden rule" (treat others like you want to be treated) and the whole time some don't even know it is straight out of GOD's word. :)

So ending with this:
Love as CHRIST loves.
Treat others(all) as you want to be treated.

Is it Worry or Concern? 2of2

Hello!!

Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought(don't worry) for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.

There is a difference between worry and genuine concern. Worry immobilizes you, and may cause fear to rise up. But concern moves you to action.
So, that being said:  planning for tomorrow is time well spent; worrying about tomorrow is time wasted.

Concern=Planning:
Making goals
Make schedules
Trusting in GOD's guidance

Worry:
Makes your plans interfere with your relationship with GOD
Makes fear rise up

Don't let worries about tomorrow affect your relationship with GOD today.

What can worry do? 1of2

Good day to all!! I have been so blessed by our SAVIOUR. More then I will ever deserve.

Matthew 6:25
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought(don't worry) for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

What can worry do?:
1.damage your health
2.consume your thoughts
3.disrupt your productivity
4.affects the way you treat others in a negative way
5.reduce your ability to trust in GOD

Poof! It's yours....um No!

Hello All!! Hope everyone is feeling their blessings.

14:13-14
13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the son.
14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

JESUS does say we can ask for anything, but we must remember our request must line up to GOD's will. GOD will not grant request outside of His nature or will. He is not some magic genie that you rub and poof! it's yours, so your selfish desires are met. So that new expensive sports car that you want  may not be what GOD thinks you need.
Plus, if we are truly following GOD and seeking His will in our life then I believe our prayers/request will be in line with what He wants for us and what we need.

I prayed for something for so long. Then only day I thought man I am praying all wrong I am praying for my selfish desires not GOD's will. So, I totally changed that prayer:

 Lord,
You know what I stand need of and what I want, only give me what is in your will, that your name be glorified. amen.

See, Only GOD knows what is best for us. What we think we want or need may not be good for us and GOD knows that.

GOD bless you and yours....

Who formed the New Testament?

Good day to all!! Pray blesses each of you with a wonderful weekend!

Who Formed the New Testament?

John 16:13-16
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. 16 "In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me."

JESUS said the Holy Spirit would show them "things to come".
  • Their mission.
  • What they face.
  • What their efforts bring.
  • The final out coming.
The disciples did not fully understand all this until after JESUS' death and the Holy Spirit came.
Then the Holy Spirit revealed truths to the disciples that they wrote down in the books that form the New Testament.
John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Just a Prayer Away....

Good Morning!!

passion-of-the-christWe have all done things that are wrong, and we have failed to obey GOD's laws. Because of this we have been separated from GOD our Creator. Separation from GOD is death; but, by ourselves, we can do nothing to become united with GOD.
JESUS was not only a man; he was GOD's son. Because JESUS never disobeyed GOD and never sinned, only he can bridge the gap between the sinless GOD and sinful mankind.
JESUS freely offered his life for us, dying on the cross in our place, taking all our wrongdoing upon himself, and saving us from the consequences of sin--including GOD's judgement and death.
JESUS took our past, present, and future sins upon himself so that we could have new life. Because all our wrongdoing is forgiven, we are reconciled to GOD. And, JESUS resurrection from the dead is the proof that his sacrifice on the cross was acceptable to GOD, and his resurrection has become the source of new life for whoever believes that JESUS is the Son of GOD. All who believe in him may have this new life and live in union with him.  Eternal life with JESUS is just a prayer away....

Romans 5:8
But GOD commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us.

Romans 10:13
For whosoever call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.

JESUS PAID IT ALL,  ALL TO HIM WE OWE!! SIN HAS LEFT US A STAIN, BUT JESUS WASHED IT WHITE AS SNOW!!

Thank you LORD!!
I was saved on June 9 @  14yrs old. All the glory to my SAVIOUR JESUS!!

Lets Fellowship.

Hello to all! Hope everyone is having a blessed day. Where we are located we are had a winter storm..YAY, well not so much YAY, but yay.....lol. But really it is beautiful.

There is fellowship and then there is christian fellowship. And there is a difference.

                                           1 John 1:1-4
1That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4We write this to you that your joy may be full.

3 Principles to true christian fellowship:
  • Being grounded in the word of GOD.
  • Unity of Believers.
  • Being Daily renewed through the Holy Spirit.
True fellowship is social and spiritual togetherness, only made right through a relationship with GOD.

Thank You to those who serve Our Nation

I wanted to just share something that touched my heart. I learned from it and I think you will as well.

First, I want to thank the men and women who are fighting for The United States of America. Everyone of them and their families are sacrificing much, including their lives; which brings me now to what I wanted to share.........(I am going to try to make a long story short...try)

There was a Marine platoon(I believe that is what they are called) these men became very close. They pretty much were like brothers, because of course they spent every waking hour together. One of the marine soldier, lets call him David, was a christian and he would talk about the love of GOD and what JESUS done on the cross. Many of the others were christians as well and some even gave their life to the LORD under David's witnessing. But there was this other marine soldier, we will call him Ben, who did not believe in GOD or the blood JESUS shed. Day in and day out David would witness to Ben, with no avail. Then one day the platoon leader comes to all the soldiers and told them to get ready they are headed out for an assignment. While they are under fire and hiding from their enemies David was still witnessing to Ben, again with no avail. One afternoon they were under heavy fire and pretty much cornered by their enemy without radio communication; the platoon leader told the platoon that he is sending two of them to head south to get help from a near by platoon. He told Ben he and another fellow marine were chosen to do this. The platoon leader looked at both of those men and said you have served your country bravely and we are all proud, but I know one of you is not going to make it back. After he gave the two final instructions, David went to the platoon leader and said he wanted to go and take the place of Ben. The platoon leader looked at him and said are you sure? and then David replied oh yes I am sure. The platoon leader look puzzled then asked why? David just looked him straight in the eye and said that Ben is lost and don't know JESUS and if he dies he will spend eternity in hell, and then said, I am saved by the blood of JESUS and I know where I am going, to be with my SAVIOUR. The platoon leader looked even more puzzled and said are you really sure? David smiled and  replied yes with all my heart, I don't want him to die without JESUS. The platoon leader smiled and said ok. The platoon leader went to his platoon turned to Ben and said change of assignment you are not going. Ben had a relieved look on his face and was joyful. Ben did not know David asked to take his place. When Ben went to tell David that he was not chosen to go anymore he could not find him. He asked another soldier where he was. That soldier then informed Ben that David was chosen to go out. Ben was worried about his friend. A day and half passed and the other platoon moved in to help. After they all were back safely Ben began looking for David, the platoon leader met him and informed him David did not make it out. Ben said that was almost me. The platoon leader said yes it was, but David came to me and ask me if he could take your place. Ben looked up at the leader and said what?.  The platoon leader then began to tell Ben what David told him and why David choose to go and not Ben. Ben stood there tear running down his cheeks look up to Heaven and walked away. Two weeks later Ben received a letter in the mail, he opened it and it was a letter from David post dated the day they left for assignment. Ben began to read the letter and this is what stuck out......Ben I pray to GOD that he will use me in anyway that you will be saved. In that letter David witnessed to Ben writing GOD's word. Ben again with tears falling, he kneeled down and accepted JESUS as LORD of his life. Ben was called and is now a preacher overseas to other marines.

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

What I learned:
Witness, never stop
Love others
JESUS was the one who took my place

Sunday Funday at Church day!

Let us go unto His house and worship The King of kings and Lord of lords.

Today I had the honor to go to church with my mil and fil. My hubby's truck was full of tin and wood, so he had to drive my car to work. I missed my home church, but I enjoyed their church. They are so VERY different: My inlaw's church is a "mega" church and my hubby's and my church is a "little country" church.
That being said, no matter what church we attend we can worship our LORD. So if the church is preaching out of GOD's word and uplifting Him I am fine. Hey, we all have the same LORD even though we worship with different music, translations of His word, etc..

1 Corinthians 12:4-6
4There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14
12Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

Different places....Different ways....Same GOD!

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

Faith proves itself by works...

James 2:14-19
14What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if people claim to have faith but have no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good!
19Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

Faith is more than an intellectual belief in GOD. If that belief does not produce righteousness and mercy, it is not a saving faith. Here in the book of James it gives 3 arguments in support of this truth---
1-Faith without works is no better than words without deeds.
2-Faith can be neither seen or verified unless it shows itself in works.
3-Even the demons have an intellectual belief in GOD, but it does not lead to their salvation.

Faith proves itself by works...Works don't earn you salvation.
By serving GOD we cannot earn our salvation, but such serving just shows that our heart and love to GOD is real.
Salvation always changes your life to good "works/deeds"....that's faith.

The inside...

Jesus Stills the Tempest, William Hole 1908Mark 4:37-38
A furious storm of wind arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled. But He was......asleep.

In Mark 4:35-41 tells of a storm arose when JESUS and His disciples were in a ship crossing the Sea of Galilee. The disciples got upset, but JESUS calmly rebuked the storm, speaking peace to it, and it quieted down.
Do you know why He was able to speak peace to the storm?
Yes, because he is JESUS, but also because He is peace - HE had peace inside Him!
When JESUS walked around on the Earth, He had something going out of Him, the anointing of GOD. He brought healing, hope, and salvation to people's lives. It wasn't just something GOD put on Him; there was a foundation there. Yes, He was anointed, but it was not going to be released if He didn't live his life right.
And that's why He NEVER let the devil upset Him. He didn't let storms of life get on the inside. He kept His heart peaceful, calm, and loving.
AND WE ARE TO BE LIKE HIM!!!

What is on the inside will eventually come out, good or bad.

ALL GOD's creatures knowledge Him!!

Hope you enjoyed these. They were to cute not to post!!

Not on feelings...

James 5:16 - nkjv
The effective, fervent prayer of a right man avails much.

James 5:16 - another translation
The earnest (heartfelt) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available.

For prayer to be effective it must be fervent, but don't misunderstand the word fervent. We don't have to "work up" some emotion for GOD to hear our prayers.
I have prayed and never had a emotional "out burst", but times I have. GOD really don't listen to our words or even emotions, but He listens to our hearts. He cares about what our hearts are saying. Don't think I am saying GOD don't care what we say, because He does, He just listens from our hearts.

It took me a long time in my christian walk to understand that not every prayer you are going to cry or "feel" something. I always thought something was wrong with me when I did not "feel" anything when praying. But I now know GOD heard my prayers with or without a feeling because He listened to my heart.
Your prayers are being heard!! Don't think their not, GOD always hears our hearts!!

Also, James 5:16 states that the fervent prayer of a "righteous" man is powerful. This means a man who is not under condemnation-one who has confidence in GOD and in the power of prayer. It does not mean a man without any imperfection in his life.

Faith is not based on feelings in the emotions, but on knowledge in the heart!!
