How important is the Bible to you?
We all say it is important, but do we picked it up Monday thru Saturday? Or do you even carry it to church on Sunday? Do we defend it like we should? Do we share with others?
Do you love the author?
Ok, on to what my pastor said that will sum all the above up:
There was a lady who had every novel ever written, she read all of them and some twice or more. She had them from left to right down rows on her huge book shelves. Her favorite would start left and go down to the bottom to her least favorite. Well one day she met a man and they began dating, they were madly in love. Few months passed and she invited him over for dinner. When he walked in he was totally amazed over all the novels she had. She told him how she read every novel ever written. He said I actually wrote a novel couple years ago. Well she knew she had to have it so she said hold on I know I have it. She began to look on her shelf starting at the top because she just knew it had to be one of her favorites because she loved this man. As she continued to look she made it to the bottom and there the novel sat. Well after he left she began to read the novel again and when she finished it she put it on the top with her favorites because she looked at it different, she loved the author.
2 Peter 1:20-21
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Psalms 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
In His Name
GOD bless you and yours.....
